What a beautiful meditation. I can feel the sadness of seeing your father as he moves out of reach, where to hear him say “kids” makes it a good day. He comes alive here, as a pilot named Corky. And your mom, praising your work in her own words, both of your parents letting you know that they love you, even though they don’t know quite how to phrase it. Thank you for this.
